J2EE Integration in Automotive Driving Productivity and Speed (EX)

An automotive manufacturing firm's (called "Speedy Parts" here) PM (Product Management) initiative provides the foundation for systems interoperability as the key enabler for moving forward at Internet speed. Significant savings and improvements in quality have been achieved. The architecture itself is built upon a number of standards. Starting at one end is IBM's WebSphere product, which is J2EE-compliant. On the other end is ISO and OMG.
