The Future of PLM: A Cup Perpetually Half Full (TT)
9/4/2008
Having completed a series of studies, IBM's survey of 1,130 CEOs worldwide identifies change as the major challenge over the longer term, impacting the business model and driving globalization. Indeed, change becomes a permanent state for the Enterprise of the Future in a second study, Automotive 2020. The challenge intensifies in the automotive sector based on interviews with 125 executives worldwide. A third effort specifically focuses on the current status of PLM implementations with thirteen U.S. automotive companies and thirty-nine European competitors, which Steve Nykerk from IBM and Bruce Belzowski from the University of Michigan will review at CPDA's PLM Road Map 2008.
