PLM Open Landscape (TT)
1/21/2005
Collaborative research on an open PLM landscape presents a scorecard to objectively evaluate software solutions, and to present a consistent set of requirements to software vendors across companies and industry sectors. It serves as a tool to evaluate the general capabilities of all software suppliers on average, as well as of specific vendors. End users may apply an extended and adapted scorecard to assess both their internal priorities and the maturity of their organizations, in terms of ability to capitalize on cross-functional collaboration. As a reference model to guide implementation, the prioritization for PLM integration, at a specific site and targeting a specific environment, may be mapped to internal capabilities, and compared to the results for others companies.
